Why Wadi El Gemal
Wadi El Gemal is the protected national park between Marsa Alam town and Hamata. Acacia trees line the dry valleys, camels graze on the shore and the mangroves shelter birds and fish. It is the least built-up part of the coast.
How it works
A guided half-day or full-day trip combines the desert valleys, the coast and a swim stop. A 4x4 is used for the sandy tracks; the guide knows the spots where the camels come to the water.
What we organise
Private 4x4 with driver-guide, park formalities and a route matched to the season and the wind.
